Teaching and Learning
Small-group supervisions, the Maitland Robinson Library, book grants and grants for travel and research are vital components of what makes the Downing experience special. We are also committed to making Downing open and accessible to all with academic ability from any social background. We employ a full-time Schools and Colleges Liaison Officer to focus specifically on state schools in the South West as part of a collective effort by all the Colleges to improve access from across the whole country.
Your contribution to the Teaching and Learning part of the endowment will help us to maintain excellent standards in teaching for all. For example, £50 would help a student to buy key textbooks in a subject such as medicine or law.
