From M11 Junction 11, Northbound

Leave the M11 at Junction 11 and take the third exit at the roundabout onto the A1309, signposted Cambridge.

Following the signs to Cambridge, go straight on along Trumpington Road for about 3 miles.

At the first mini-roundabout, continue forward, then at the next, turn right onto Lensfield Road.

Continue straight on for about 0.3 miles to a traffic-light-controlled crossroads, with a large church on the right-hand side.

Turn left at this junction onto Regent Street and continue for about 0.3 miles to the main gates of Downing College, on the left-hand side.

From A14 Huntingdon, Southbound

From the A14, take the A1307 Huntingdon Road to Cambridge, signposted City Centre. After about 1 mile, you will arrive at a major traffic-light-controlled junction.

Continue straight on down Castle Street to the next crossroad and turn right onto the Ring Road, Northampton Street.

Bear left at the mini-roundabout and continue along Queens' Road and straight on at the traffic lights.

At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A1134 Fen Causeway.

At the next mini-roundabout, take the first exit onto Trumpington Road, then immediately right at a second mini-roundabout onto Lensfield Road.

Continue straight on for about 0.3 miles to a traffic-light-controlled crossroads, with a large church on the right-hand side.

Turn left at this junction onto Regent Street and continue for about 0.3 miles to the main gates of Downing College, on the left-hand side.

From the A14 westbound

Exit at Stow-cum-Quy and follow signs to Cambridge A1303; at the roundabout, take the left-hand exit to Cambridge on the A1303 Newmarket Road.

Follow the road straight on at the next major roundabout and for about 2 miles, past Cambridge Airport and continuing straight on at the next roundabout until you reach the roundabout junction with Elizabeth Way and East Road.

Take the first exit into East Road, and continue straight on past Anglia Ruskin University on your left,  through a traffic-light-controlled crossroads and past Parker's Piece to your right.

At the next major junction you will see a large church ahead of you and to the left. Turn right at this junction into Regent Street and the main gates of Downing College are about 0.3 miles on your left-hand side.

By Train

Cambridge is on the main lines from London King's Cross and London Liverpool Street. Downing College is situated about three quarters of a mile from the station and is served by regular buses and taxis.

By Bus

Cambridge's main bus station, Drummer Street, is only a five-minute walk from the College.
