Griffins' Club Dinner 2025

Saturday 15 February 2025; drinks at 19:00 in the Grace howard Room, followed by Dinner at 19:30  

The Annual Dinner is the main event in the Griffins’ social calendar. It is a fantastic opportunity for alumni and resident Griffins to celebrate Downing’s sporting successes. The Griffins' Club Dinner is open to Griffins alumni, Pink Elephants, and any member of the College, past or present with an interest in sport. Alumni are welcome to bring a guest. As ever, we would love to see a rich variety of sports and ages in attendance.

The Griffins' committee will present the Simon Cook Memorial Award, given in memory of Simon Cook (Law, 1984), to the 'Fresher who contributes the most towards College sport’. The Barry Everitt Prize will also be awarded on the night to 'a deserving Griffin'.

Dress code:  Black tie; Griffins attire or Cambridge University sports attire.

The price of the dinner will be £49.95 per head including wine and you may bring a guest. If you would like to purchase an alcohol-free place, these are priced at £39.95 per head.

Please make your payment for the dinner via bank transfer to the Downing College bank account by 13:00 on Friday 31 January. Regrettably, failure to complete a bank transfer by this date will result in the cancellation of your booking.

If you would like to support students’ attendance at the dinner, please consider doing so by adding a donation to your bank transfer. Any surplus from the alumni ticket sales will be deducted from the amount charged to students. Any support will be very gratefully received!

We regret accommodation is not available in College as the students will be in residence. Limited car parking will be available.
