Advent Carol Service and Reception 2024

Thursday 5 December, 19:00–21:00

Alumni, Fellows, parents of current members, friends of Downing and guests are all warmly invited to the annual College Advent Carol Service, this year at St Andrew Holborn Church, 5 - 7 St Andrew Street, Holborn, London, EC4A 3AF. Situated conveniently at the Western edge of the City of London, close to Midtown and the West End, St Andrew Holborn occupies a wonderful site at Holborn Circus and has recently been refurbished.

The service will be led by the College Chaplain, The Rev Dr Keith Eyeons, and the Chapel Choir, directed and accompanied by Dominic Remedios and Matthew Chanwai.

The service is followed at 20:00 by a reception to catch up with friends over wine and mince pies.

As we did last year, we are asking all alumni and friends who book a ticket to the Advent Carol Service and Reception to make a donation of £15 towards our Student Support Fund. 100% of your donation will be used to support our many student extracurricular activities, as well as helping students who face an unexpected financial shortfall.

Booking closed at 13:00 on Friday 29 November.

Please note, we expect around 200 people to attend this event. Additional seating may be available in the Galleries, but views are restricted. All seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage guests to arrive in good time.
