Cranworth Law Society Centenary Dinner 2022

You are warmly invited to the Cranworth Law Society Centenary Dinner, in College, on Friday 22 April from 19.00 to 22.00. Drinks will be served in the Grace Howard Room from 19:00, followed by dinner in the Hall from 19:45.

We are delighted to announce that the guest speaker will be The Rt Hon Lord Lloyd Jones (Law, 1970). As well as a number of current Law students, the Master, Professor Graham Virgo (1984), Dr Brendan Plant (2008) and Mr William Day (2010) will all be attending, together with past Fellows in Law Professor Emeritus David Feldman and Dr Charles Harpum (1972).

Downing women in the law panel discussion

To mark the occasion, College will also be hosting a panel discussion at 18:00 the same day on the topic Downing Women in the Law, with a panel including Farmida Bi CBE (1986), Global Chair of Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, Shruti Ajitsaria (1997), Partner and Head of Fuse at Allen & Overy LLP, Clare Stanley QC (1990), Wilberforce Chambers, Emily Wood QC (2000), Essex Court Chambers and Charlotte Eborall (2000), 3 Verulam Buildings. We hope many of you attending dinner will be able to join us for this earlier event.

This event is restricted to alumni and current Downing Law students only. We regret that accommodation in College is not available for this event as the students will still be in residence.
