Brammer Geographical Society's Annual Dinner

In memory of Hugh Brammer (1943) and in celebration of Geography at Downing

The President of the Brammer Geographical Society invites you to its Annual Dinner on Tuesday 14 March. The Brammer Geography Society is named after Hugh Brammer, a Downing alumnus best known for his work on agro-ecology in Bangladesh. Very sadly, Hugh passed away in 2021, aged 95, and this year's dinner will honour and remember his connection to Downing.

The evening will begin at 18.45 in the SCR with a drinks reception. This will be followed by dinner and speeches in the Hall at 19.30.

The dress code for the evening will be Black Tie, and guests are welcome. The wearing of gowns is encouraged (arrangements can be made to borrow a gown for the evening, if you don't have one).

Please note that no accommodation will be available in College on 14 March.
