Congratulations go to six entrants this year (out of a total of eleven) who have been shortlisted to continue to the next round of the competition. Each has been awarded a grant of £500 to enable them to develop a fuller, more formal business plan with the guidance of a mentor.
The deadline for submission of the business plans is 5.30pm on Tuesday, 21st April 2009 and the teams are invited to present their business plans to the Board during the afternoon of Tuesday 12th May.

Downing Enterprise is a competition for students of Downing College and those who graduated in the last ten years. A group of alumni have put together a fund to provide start-up grants for student business ideas which are selected through an annual competition. The alumni also act as competititon judges and mentors to the winning teams.
