Creating the Energy for Change
Colleges are at the heart of what makes a Cambridge education so unique and respected. Downing is above all a community which stimulates the conception of new ideas and fresh discoveries through meaningful dialogue, with emphasis on individual care and support. Through Catalysis, we aim to secure Downing's tradition of inspiring change for the better by investing in future generations of students and Fellows. In practical terms, this means increasing the size of the College endowment - the financial bedrock upon which the College is built. A larger endowment will give us the long-lasting ability and confidence to address our comprehensive needs. Catalysis embraces all aspects of the College which are encompassed by the following priorities:
