The Parents' Book Fund

On the occasion of their graduation we invite the parents, family and friends of our Graduands to consider making a gift to the College. During their time at Downing, all of our students benefit in some way from the philanthropic support of our current and former donors. Choosing to give to Downing will assist us to continue to provide educational opportunities, access to fantastic facilities and grants and bursaries to the brightest and most talented students, regardless of their financial background.

Discussion with students has highlighted the important resources provided by the Maitland Robinson Library, and the need for financial assistance with the purchase of text books. The Downing College Parents’ Book Fund has been established to support student study by providing for book purchases in the library and for individual book grants. Each gift will be acknowledged by a named bookplate placed inside a book in the library. If you would like to support the Book Fund, you can make a donation online here (please select Parents' Book Fund from the drop down menu), and contact the Development Office to receive a blank bookplate for completion (see below for examples).

Please note this is a graduation gift only. We are unable to accept gifts from the parents of current students.
